The Marble Maker
| CC: for English subtitles HD: turn HD quality on/off In Neidlingen, a small town below the ruins of the Reussenstein castle on the northern edge of the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve, the only German marble maker has his manufactury. Stefan Metzler learned the craft of milling marbles from old marble makers in Germany and Austria more than 20 years ago. Many years later he refined the process and built up the marble mill and the manufactury in and next to the small river „Seebach“ in Neidlingen. He is fascinated by the different types of stones of the Swabian Alb, the uniqueness of each marble sphere and the power that water has. To the photo reportage “The uniqueness of the marble” |
 Stones are witnesses of the geological history. Not only the geology but also the archeology of the Swabian Alb is more diverse than most people think. The volunteer archeologists of the archeological group in Erkenbrechtsweiler collect and present their findings from local history of different epochs. |

| The manufactory of the marble mill in Neidlingen is open for visitors on Sundays and public holidays (except for the last Sunday of each month) from 11 am to 5 pm. |
